How do I go back to the old style for navigating between Backlog and Kanban

My coworker has the interface with icons pinned to the left (something I just got used to since the last JIRA UI update, see first image). Now I have this new flyout menu thing (see second image). How do I revert back to the old UI and get off JIRA's wild ride of changing their users workflow every few weeks?
