How do I get a mapping of Team Names (text) to Team IDs (number) from a Jira Project?

William Dea March 2, 2023

I have tried to use a JQL query and export.  However, I only get Jira Team ID (CSV Export) or Team Name (Word, HTML, XML, etc. exports).  I would like to get both exported as separate columns.

OR is there another way to get Team Name to Team ID mapping?

I believe I am using version:  Jira v8.20.11

Hello @William Dea

Welcome to the community.

Is the URL you are using like this?

https://<something>.atlassian.net

If so, then you are using Jira Cloud and there is no product version number.

If you are using Jira Server or Data Center, then the product version number shows at the bottom of most screens.

If you are using Jira Server or Data Center, there is not a native way in the UI to export Team names and IDs. There is a change request to have the CSV export show Team names instead of IDs.

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JPOSERVER-3012

That change request includes information about a work around.

https://onc.jira.usaacloud.com is the URL I use.  When I click Help-About Jira I get the following Version:  Jira v8.20.11
