How do I find my old project?

Iryna Kyselova November 27, 2025

Hallo!

I've made in January 2025 in Jira a project. But after my accounts deaktivation I can't find it.

That was my project: https://ik793757.atlassian.net/jira/software/projects/SCRUM/boards/1?sprints=2%2C5%2C3

I've reaktivated my account, but still there is no project in Jira.

Could you help me  with this please?

Thank you

Hello @Iryna Kyselova

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

When you say that you account was deactivated do you mean your user account (your login credentials) or do you mean that you could no longer access the URL to get into your Jira subscription?

When you say you "reactivated your account", what steps did you take to accomplish that? Did you start a new Jira subscription and plug in the same URL that you used previously?

If it was your Jira subscription that was deactivated, when was it deactivated? The Organization Administrator and Site Administrators would've received emails about the deactivation when it happened? What was the reason for deactivation? Was it inactivity, or failure to pay the subscription fee?

What it a Free Jira subscription, or were you on one of the paid plans (Standard, Premium, or Enterprise)?

Projects within a Jira subscription are not automatically deleted by Atlassian. They can be deleted by the Jira Product Administrators for that Jira instance.

Free Jira subscriptions that have no activity for 120 consecutive days get deactivated. After another 60 days all the data within that Jira instance is permanently deleted.

Paid subscriptions where the payment fails may also be deactivated. The Organization and Billing admins would've received emails about that also.

If you "reactivated your account" by starting a new subscription to Jira using the same URL you used previously then all the data that was in Jira under that URL previously has already been permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
