Hi! I created a project with a template but now I want to add a backlog. However, when I follow the instructions in the official site, I find there is no "features" section after I open the project setting. Any advice?
Welcome to the community!
The kanban backlog feature can be enabled through the board configuration; please note that this feature is only available for company-managed project types.
You can get more details from this article Use your kanban backlog
Hope this helps!
Best regards
Sam
Hi, Samuel!
Thank you so much for your reply!
The thing is that I didn't create the project using kanban, but instead I used a business management template. I had understood with other posts that the backlog and project features were only available in team managed projects, but maybe those posts were older.
What I'm trying to do is keep a view like this:
But also having a section where I can add, all those tasks that just pop during the day and are kinda in a "waiting to be classified" status. I was told by a friend that's what the backlog is for but I'm open to any suggestions! I'm managing a quite a few departments and teams and need to have all the tasks easily accesible.
And again, thank you so much for the help!

Hello @Anthony Chersia
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Backlog is a feature that is available only with Software projects, or from agile boards that are created based on a Saved Filter. There is no option to enable a Backlog screen for Business project.
If you have access to Jira Software in your instance then you could:
1. Create a filter to get all the issues from the Business project and save that filter.
2. Create a separate board (Kanban or Scrum based on your preference) based on that saved filter.
In that separate board you could have the Backlog view.
The documents and posts that you viewed that talked about "backlog" being available from "features" in Team Managed projects may have been referring to the unique architecture of Team Managed Software projects, where the backlog option is enabled by going to Project Settings > Features and enabling the Backlog option. Enabling the Backlog in a Company Managed Software project is done in the manner @Samuel Gatica _ServiceRocket_ described. Regardless the feature is not directly available for Business projects.
