I am receiving strange and troublesome popups that have nothing to do with the way I work from Jira. They appear to originate from "Jira Product Discovery". How do I disable these distracting pop ups?

What kind of pop-ups are those? Do you refer to the Atlassian "Advertising popups?
I don't think you can disable them. But maybe you can ask Atlassian support if they can disable them for your site.
