If someone could please help me with this one, I've been struggling for a while and I really can't find anything that works for me ->

I'd like to create a custom field for one of my projects that will have a permission to see this field for different groups of users (or roles). So this field doesn't exist for one type of the users inside one of the projects.

Thanks!

Hi @Dennis Basyrov

this is not possible with features out of the box, not even Issue Security will get you that because it is all or nothing when it comes to the issue. "Permitted" users will be able to see and handle the issue as a whole - others will be locked out and can not handle it.

What was discussed here in Community lately would be to create a second project - locked down only to people who are permitted to see salary but the other project is open to a broader user base.

Then you could use issue linking to link both "records" (just issues in Jira speak) together. One issue for HR (let's say) but the second issue (linked) just for a small subset of people.

Cheers,
Daniel

Hello @Dennis Basyrov

Welcome to the community.

The first question is, are you working with a Company Managed project or a Team Managed project?

Next question, what problem are you trying to solve by hiding the field from some users?

Thanks for the quick reply. We are talking about Company Managed project. We are trying build Employee project and have private field for salary and number successful reviews. All users can see employees data, but only leadership team can see salary field and another sensitive data.
