How do I create a filter for a Jira Dashboard?

I am not a Jira admin, but I am a dashboard admin. My manager wants a filter (or chart) to show who the reporter of the Jira ticket was. I tried to add gadget and look at existing filters, but none were there. How can I create a filter that would show the ticket reporter?

Did you look for the filter you own or for the filter your manager owns? If for the filter of your manage, then this filter must be shared with you.
