Hi All,

We use JIRA to track issues in the company..

An JIRA is  created to track one issue - it has an owner and deadline.

However there are cases when 10 people have to do their part to complete the task and all can do it independently. How can a JIRA be raised with multiple owners?

Thanks,

Hi @Vineeth Manohar , welcome to the community.

I would recommend that you create subtasks under the individual task and assign those subtasks to the individual owners. You could also set up an automation rule, which will automatically close the task once all subtasks are complete.

Hello @Vineeth Manohar

In addition to @Jack Brickey suggestion, there are two more possibility

Watchers:

  • Add all ten individuals as "watchers" of the main issue. This will keep them informed of any updates or progress on the issue.
  • While this doesn't assign ownership, it ensures everyone involved is kept in the loop.

Custom Fields:

  • Create a custom field called "Participants" or "Team Members" with a multi-user picker option. This allows you to list all ten individuals without assigning specific ownership.
  • This provides transparency of who's involved without cluttering the assignee field.

Kindly accept the ans if this helps.

Thanks
