How do I chnage the display order of a custom field?

I have created a custom field for an issue type and have managed to get it to show up on the screens I want, but not in the right places. For example, on the View screen, I would like my new "Acceptance Criteria" field to show underneath "Description". Is this possible?

You should be able to reorder the fields in the screen.

Ah, and the first comment on that page (which I did read - but not the comments), implies that what I want to do isn't actually possible. Which is a shame.
