How do I change the shape of the cards in 'Active Sprints' View?

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
Since I started using Jira, the cards were being displayed in the square layout. The columns too weren't this stretched out but today suddenly the cards became rectangular and stretched out (see the attachment below)
can anyone please tell me how to revert back to the original layout??
