How do I change the project category. There is no edit function despite having administrator role.

Hi Team,

Then project category is not editable. I want to change it from "Internal" to "ZENDESK_LINKED"

Welcome to the Atlassian community,

If your using company managed project, only Jira admin (org/product admin) can update the project category. ask your Jira admin to update it.

Only a user with project administrator permission or a Jira admin is able to change this.
