How do I change the Linked Status of an active workflow.

I need to change the linked status in an Active Workflow but can't find how to do that without cause a major disruption because we have dozens of projects that use it. Any ideas?

@Audra Bonacki A few thoughts:

  • I like to create a copy of the workflow that needs to be changed and make all my changes to the new copied version. Once I'm finished, I update the workflow scheme/s of the projects to use this new workflow.
  • I also like to add a v1, v2, v3, etc... to the end of the workflow name to easily keep track of which workflow is which.
  • The advantage of always updating a copy is that you can easily revert to the original (previous version) if necessary.

As with any change, there will som type of disruption. Make sure you communicate out the change so users know it is coming, and try to pick a time when traffic is lower.
