How do I batch search and replace assigned users?

Someone had been creating tickets and assigning them to a user. Now there are many tickets assigned to the user and I need to unassign them.

Is there a way to unassign in a batch? Or do I have to do this one ticket at a time?

Sure, JIRA provides an out of the box feature to bulk edit issues, you need to have the required permission to do this activity
