How did you migrate to Jira Cloud

For those of you who have migrated to Jira Cloud from DataCenter or Server

1) Did you 'lift and shift' or take a phased approach?

2) How long did it take?

3) Would you recommend that method again?

3) If it was a phased approach, what were the challenges?

Thanks!

Hello @Angie Affolter

Here is an automated service to migrate to Jira  https://project-management.relokia.com/jira-software/https://project-management.relokia.com/asana-to-jira-migration/

Feel free to try out the Demo to see if it fits your needs. Best of all, Demo is completely free and only takes 5-15 minutes of your time.

Regards,

1) Phased

2) Months (depends on so many variables) (Scriptrunner, # of issues, #of projects, Attachments, your apps, custom scripts, how many people are working the migration for you).  Without knowing this, it's hard to give a more accurate measurement of time.

3) Yes

4) Your apps are going to be a challenge.  You have maintain them in 2 different places.  There may not be a cloud equivalent for your server apps, so you may want to move data/projects that aren't impacted by those plugins first and then figure out how to deal with the fact that the plugins aren't available in the cloud.
