How can you set the sprint in an issue using automation?

I need to set the sprint of a work item based on a custom field value using automation. Has anyone successfully performed this operation?

Yes, that is possible, and...

To set the sprint using a smart value, the sprint's ID value is needed.  When you only have the name of the sprint, a rule could:

• use the name to find the ID from a reference in another work item, or...
• use the Send Web Request action to call the REST API to get all the sprints for a specific board ID, and then filter to find the correct one by the name
