How can you remove orphaned custom fields in the cloud?

We inherited a load of custom fields in our Jira instance when we separated from another company and I want to do some housekeeping to remove the unused custom fields.

There appear to be scripts/articles for how to do this on the server version, but I haven't managed to find anything for cloud. 

Does anyone have any guidance on how to do this? Maybe using script runner?
