How can we increase the payload size of custom field options from 1000 to 2000?

My question is could we increase the limit from 1000 to a higher value e.g. 2000 by changing some configuration.

You can't change it on Cloud - it's capped at 1,000 to prevent you overwhelming the system with requests.
