How can we add custom Status in JIRA

Hi ,

We are required to add Custom Status in JIRA.

There are some predefined Status available - To Do / In Progress / Review / Done etc.

Now we need to add On Hold / Need Discussion etc. values in the Status field.

How can we achieve this?

Or if we add a Custom field can we bring that in the main dashboard search screen.

Please help with the above questions.

You can manage statuses here (you need to be Jira Admin to configure):

INSTANCE.atlassian.net/secure/admin/ViewStatuses.jspa

You can also add custom fields, but if this is a legitimate part of your workflow, status would make the most sense.
