How can i hide a project?

Alexandru Simion

I found the permission method in which projects can be hidden and i believe it to work for the "Classic software" type. However, if you have a "Next-gen software" type project, I cannot find the place where the permission scheme can be changed. At this point, it seems for me that "Next-gen software" projects cannot be hidden and are here to stay...

Hi Alexandru - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I think you will find the answers in this guidance:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/manage-how-people-access-your-next-gen-project-982321983.html

I hope that helps!

Hi John,

Unfortunately it doesn't. I want it gone from "Browse projects". I was asking for the permission changing info due to the workaround with the "Classic software" projects, but i supposed that this will not work for "Next-gen software" projects.

Main point is: how can i hide a next-gen software project?

If you remove it form Browse Projects then nobody can see it. Not sure of the point of that.

If you set the Access to Private, then the only people who can see it are people on the project that you grant access. Why is that not acceptable? Can you help me to understand better?
