How can i easily assign issues to users in the new Jira Agile?

In Greenhopper it was really easy to assign issues to users by simply dragging the card to them. You could clearly see the amount of estimated hours allocated to each developer.

Since the classic board seems to be getting phased out slowly, we decided to try out the new rapid boards. It seems that i can't assign a developer to an issue without going to the full edit view for each individual task.

Hi Scott,

You can easily assign issue to your user by:

1. On your board, open the issue view by clicking into the issue key link
2. Press 'a' on your keyboard to open the assign issue window
3. Assign the issue to your user
