I want to delete a user account from jirra. Currently, I don't find any option to do that. Is there any way to delete a user from jirra.
First you need to ask yourself why you want to delete the account. In my opinion deleting accounts is a necessary in almost every scenario. You can simply revoke access on a user and you were no longer be charged for that license and they do not have access to the application. However all data associated with that user will still exist in the system so you won’t lose any of that history.
with that said if you still wish to delete a user you need to be at your admin then go into the administration section under user management find your user and in there to the right you will have the ability to click on the… And delete the user. No this is the same area where you can revoke access.
Do not delete users
Users should be made inactive not deleted. JIRA uses a pointer to the user’s DB entry to display user information. If you delete a user when you open a JIRA issue if the user worked on it anywhere the user that would be displayed will cause a SQL error. Even if the user never logged on or were assigned a ticket the history of the ticket will get an error when you display it.
