How can I use a similar data input structure to this "Component/s"

So I have a need for people to potentially select multiple options from a drop down and it would be VERY ideal to display them clearly like seen in this "Component/s" section.

Problem is, I can't figure out how to do another "Component/s" section. I want to do it for the "Software Unit/s Impacted" section really badly. At present that section's best option I can find is that "multi select list", but let's be serious here-- no one who wants to select multiple options from the what 50+ software units we will probably have when all is said and done... wants to actually deal with this behemoth and holding down ctrl + clicking. 

So I ADORE this "Component/s" section, how can I use it for Software Unit's impacted?

Hello Cole,

Unfortunately, the Components behavior (Auto-Complete and search renderer) cannot be added to custom fields in JIRA Cloud. You can vote for the implementation of this functionality in the feature request below:

- Allow multi-select and multi-checkboxes custom field types to use auto-complete renderer

This functionality can only be achieved on JIRA Server (see this Multi Select fields as components).
