How can I use Jira project management

Good day everyone I’m new into Jira software and my name Elisha  i want to know more about the team work and project management so that I can build good skill in project management. Thanks for any suggestions or steps I need to follow.

What Walter states is absolutely true, and I won't get to any further details! But I wanted to add that you may also want to work with Jira Work Management, which is similar to Jira software, they share similar functionalities, but they also differ. E.g. JWM has timeline (a Gantt like chart), lists, calendar and forms. You can start learning about it here https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/work-management.

Jira Software is built with agile projects in mind. It is a great idea and the perfect mindset to start from the idea that you don't want to just learn a tool, but see the bigger picture where the tool helps you run better projects!

A great resource to get you started is Atlassian's Agile Coach site, where you can learn a lot more about agile methodologies and how Atlassian tools fit into that picture.

Next, you've already taken the step into this community, which is an awesome and collaborative space where you can always participate in discussions, ask questions and - usually - receive feedback pretty quickly. Apart from this online community, there's also a vibrant ecosystem of Atlassian Community Events. These are meetups (both digital and in person) where you can meetup with other Atlassian users and experts to exchange knowledge, practices and just have a fun time sharing. Definitely worth checking out if there is one near you. 

And last but definitely not least, you can also reach out to an Atlassian partner near you. Working for one myself, I know the value we can deliver in helping you deliver the practices and supporting toolset to reach your (company's) specific goals together!
