How can I show releases set up in Jira on a teams channel

To ensure there is better collaboration I want to automate showing releases within a Team Channel. 

I would like it to show the release date, link and what is included. It should only notify the users of Releases happening within the next 10 days ensuring the teams seeing the channel have a clear sight of what is coming. 

Is this possible? If yes, how?

Hi @Mikki Bisschoff 

You could do this with an automation rule.  The challenging part is sending the notification 10 days early, and such a rule could be:

• use a Scheduled Trigger,
• call the REST API endpoint to find / search any relevant upcoming versions with the Send Web Request action,
• use conditions to determine any upcoming versions within 10 days, and
• branch over each matching version (for your critieria) to...
  • gather their work items with JQL and the Lookup Work Items action,
  • and finally send the notification with the Send Microsoft Teams Message action

This assumes you have a specific channel to send the message.
