How can I set the due date using post functions?

I'm looking to set my Due Date to automatically be Created Date + 5.

By creating my own Due Date field, rather than using JIRA's in-built Due Date field I've managed to get the Due Date to default to the Created Date, but I'm having trouble doing the second bit (+5 days). I've tried using the function to increase the value by 1, but it doesn't have any effect on the field.

We're using cloud-based JIRA so can't use e.g. Script Runner.

I don't have the option for a scripted field - think it may be a feature that's missing from cloud-based JIRA...

About to give up and employ someone to do it all manually!!

What are you currently using? I was able to calculate this using using a "Scripted field".
