How can I see total story points by person across multiple projects?

I need to be able to see across a department, with how many story points are assigned/ completed by person. Most people will only have worked on one project buy a few work on more than one. I can easily see points assigned within a single project. I’m needing to define more than one project as the search criteria. Thank you.

It seems that you can create a new board with JQL filter for multiple projects. There you can see, for example, how many story points is assigned by person in sprint.
