How can I receive an email per new issue?

Receiving an email per new issue, or a daily batch, or an email per new issue related to some component... seems like a trivial JIRA feature. That said, I couldn't find how to do it, so maybe it isn't.

Help would be appreciated

Personally, I found the subscription via "Manage Filters" to be most convenient.

You will need to Configure a notification scheme and associate it with the appropriate projects.
