I'd like to flag comments with unanswered questions and then be able to search for any pinned comments so that I can follow-up as necessary. With hundreds of stories, it's hard to remember which ones have unanswered questions.
Not as elegant as what you are looking for but I use email for this. I flag the notification emails for comments I need to follow up on.
