How can I put Stories and Tasks on the Timeline from one project only

How can I put Stories and Tasks on the Timeline, without being related to Epics? Any configuration? It is possible?

The Timeline  in Jira Software does require Epics to be active - without them, the Timeline won't function.

There's a few alternative options though:

• If you have Jira Premium, you could use Advanced Roadmaps to create this view
• In Jira Work Management, a Timeline does not have to have Epics
• Look for a gantt or issue structure App on the Marketplace

when you say active epic, does it mean that it has to be an in progress or done status?
