How can I prevent the Approver from being added as a watcher?

We are using JIRA as a Change Management tool. One of the steps is for an Approver to review and approve the request.

After the Approver approves the request, the Approver is added as a Watcher. The Approvers do not want to see the updates after they have approved. Is there a way this can be prevented?

There are no properties defined in the Workflow Step.

I think it is using the AutoWatch feature. Go to the profile, disable autowatch and see if it helps!
