How can I open an input mask instead of an error message when not filling out validators?

I have several validators in my workflow. When I change from one status to another without filling in the validator fields, an error message occurs. Is it possible to open a window instead where I can fill out the needed fields? That would be much more elegant.. Thank you!

You need to put a "transition screen" into the transition that the validator is on to ask the users for a Team during the transition.  The screen only needs to contain "team"
