How can I move the "Original estimate" field to a new tab?

Jeremy S_ Johnson July 26, 2021

I have an issue configuration screen with a second tab called "Effort". But when I search to add "Original estimate," or even just "Estimate", the field is not available.

Regardless, "Original estimate" appears on the issue layout. I can drag-and-drop it on the Description fields General tab, but I can't drop it on the new Effort tab.

Hi @Jeremy S_ Johnson

from what I found as a Suggestion on jira.atlassian.com I suppose this could also address your requirement:

If you feel this matches the scenario not per 100% feel free to comment the Suggestion over there - otherwise you can vote for it to signalize it is of importance to you.

Did I get it right that you still have this challenge to solve?

From your last comment:

and I'm able to move the Time Tracking field to my new tab.

it was not clear fully.

Regards,
Daniel

In on-prem Jira, system fields such as time tracking fields, always appear in the same areas on view screens.

This is cloud, and I'm able to move the Time Tracking field to my new tab.
