How can I make it so Jira always uses the Markdown editor when creating issues?

I really hate that there are two different editors for issues depending on where you accessed the issue from.

I think Markdown has become a pretty widely used standard and I would prefer to only ever use the markdown editor. The wiki editor is annoying and I don't want to use anything in a WYSIWYG style.'

Is there any way to force the Markdown editor to be used always?

I hate inconsistency in Attlasian Cloud products.

I create empty task because it doesn't allow MD syntax.

And only then I add text when MD is supported.

We (engineers) don't need WYSIWYG. Managers don't care of bold/italic.

I could not agree more with this question.  I want MarkDown.  I DO NOT WANT random useless trash to be injected into my text, or conversions to be applied when I paste MarkDown into the editor.
