Hi, I’m new to Confluence and Jira, and I work as a Data Scientist.
I’m looking for a feature, plugin, or recommended approach that allows me to manage ETL mapping and track data quality issues effectively within Jira. Specifically, I would like to:
Maintain ETL mappings (e.g., source name, query logic, etc.)
Track DQ issues (e.g., issue description, impacted tables or columns, etc.)
Possibly migrate or integrate existing Excel-based tracking into Jira
Is there a recommended plugin or best practice for doing this in Jira Cloud?
Thank you in advance!
Hi @Mohmad_Foad ,
I am not exactly sure what you mean with 'Maintaining ETL mappings'. But on the topic of monitoring data quality in Jira, you can have a look at the app 'Issue Quality for Jira'.
Full disclosure: I am involved in the development of this app. I understand the need for monitoring data quality; that's why I also started working on this app. You can try it for free. And if it meets your needs, feel free to reach out and discuss your use case and requirements. I'm interested in hearing from people what their needs are.
Have a nice day!
Rik
Hi @Mohmad_Foad
I'm not quite familiar with the mapping that you've spoken of, but you can check out https://www.atlassian.com/platform/analytics, Atlassian Analytics lets you get the insights from multiple sites and products and make charts or other visual representations.
Hope this helps.
