How can I hide a bug type issue from scrum board?

How can I hide a bug type issue from scrum board?

I do not want bugs to be displayed on the scrum board. I tried hiding the Fix Verisons field from the Bug screen, but it still captures this field with default 'None' value. Please advise.

Hi,

you can go to the Board settings -> General -> Edit Filter query

Add to the query: ... and issuetype != Bug ....

then save.

it does not seem to be working.....throwing this error

Error in the JQL Query: Expecting ',' but got 'and'. (line 1, character 33)

My existing query is

project = PGT ORDER BY Rank ASC
