How can I have one release related to two projects?

We have two different projects but our releases cover both projects. How can I configure my release to include both projects?

Standard Jira won't do this, as a version belongs to a project.

You'll need to find one of the Apps that can do cross-project releases. Portfolio implements something like that for example.
