How can I escape the special characters when entering markup with the new markup macro

eg wanted to have something like this to be written in a table

|xxx| xxx|xxxthe regex-pattern:\\.*/products/([^,]*)xxx|xxx|

and found no way of typing that inside the macros editor

Your question is marked as Jira, but you mentioned Macros that are available in Confluence, so I want to confirm to make sure we are on the same page.
