Hello!!

I create a project at the Jira project work management tool and i would like to be able to put into the project the 3 types:  "tasks", "sub-tasks" and "sub-task of sub-task".

I have no problem creating the 2 of them: "task" and "sub-task" (1st level child of a task).

My problem is that I don't know how to create "sub-task of sub-task" (2st level child of a task) or even more low level (n-st level child of a task).

Can you help me how can I do this?

I am trying to change the type of a sub-task but the only option that i have is to change to a task,. It doesn't give me the option to change it into a "sub-task" of an issue that is already a sub-task of another tasκ.

Your sincerely,

Gina

With Jira you only get 3 level of hierarchy possible and you cant choose this.

The 3 level of hierarchy are :

- Epic > issue (can be any type of ticket ex: bug, task, story,...)

- Issue (can be any type of ticket ex: bug, task, story,...) > subtask.

So if you want to add a new level of hierarchy you'll need to add the epic type in your project.

This being said some plugins add more hierarchy on Jira. You can try to look at this too if the previous suggestion does not help.

Hope this help.
