How can I copy a custom field to comments in a post function?

The copy value function in JIRA suite utilities seems to not support comments in either direction. The use case is that I have a text field called "Blocked Reason" I'd like the user to enter some text into. This field is displayed as one of the issue properties when the issue is blocked. But I also want this text recorded into the comments because when the issue becomes unblocked or blocked again it will get overwritten. We are new, the only addon I have is JIRA Suite Utilities and this is in the cloud.

Well, I need to get approval to buy it which adds delay, but yes I could probably do so. No free way to do this I guess? Really unfortunate the JIRA suite utilities doesn't at least support copying "to" comments.

This could be done with ScriptRunner Plugin. Is it possible for you to use it?
