How can I auto populate the Epic field, or at least see it during Task creation?

Hey Community,

When creating a new Task, I do not see the "Epic" field.

I would love to be able to see it during Task creation; I would also like to auto populate it to a specific Epic. How might I achieve this?

Note: I was able to do this easily with "Labels", but "Epic" seems unsupported.

You need to add the epic link field to the task issue screen. Here are the instructions: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/manage-issue-screens/

You will need to be a project or system admin to configure it.
