Hi,

My team has just started using a Next Gen Project and apart from the roadmap view it seems a big step down.

Can someone advise:
1. How to add an Epic (or a Parent) while creating a task or JIRA. (Please don't advise to go to the Epic and create the issue from there)
2. How to make Epic mandatory? Currently, the Epic is not seen as a link in the create issue page.

Hi @Amrit Sadhab

Next-gen project was built from the ground up which means that it did not take or inherit anything from the Classic Project. so its completely different from operation and how it works. I don't think you can create an issue and assign to an epic or parent; on next-gen you do that afterwards. likewise, epic link is a different relationship on next-gen, and currently next-gen doesn't have a required field property that can be set. So most of what you're looking for are basically feature request which are mostly stated here
