(1) How can I add a relative link in JIRA Software?

I can add a link in JIRA before in the company(the JIRA version may different, Server or data center)  I worked before.

but I buy the JIRA software in the Cloud now.

I can't find this function any more.

I can only add a link about JIRA BUG show on the top of page now, But I can't add other web site link in the top of page any more.

(2) Besides, I can response every message independently in the every comment in the company(the JIRA version may different, Server or data center)  I worked before.

But I buy the JIRA software in the Cloud now. I can't fi also not available now.

Hello Janet,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

About your first question: I understand that you are trying to add an external web link to your JIRA Cloud issues, Is that correct?

Indeed, it is not possible at this moment to add external Web Links in the new issue view of JIRA Cloud, so we created the following feature request to implement it:

External web links missing in new issue view

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates. As a workaround, you can disable the new issue view by following the steps below:

- Select your avatar and choose Profile
- Turn off the New Jira issue view toggle under Labs

About your second question: I think I didn't understand what is the problem exactly. Can you please provide us more details with screenshots so we can better understand what is the problem and how you expect it to work?

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi, Petter:

The second question just looks like picture below: The JIRA Server version can reply/discuess every single message. The function very similar to facebook.. But I can't find this function in JIRA Cloud version.  This function also very important for me. I just wonder why the JIRA Server version and JIRA Cloud version can't have the same function. Hope you can help me to solve the question. Thanks for take time to answer me the question.

Br,

Janet

Hello Janet,

Thank you for your detailed reply.

Actually, the ability to reply to comments with threads are not available for both JIRA Cloud and Server due to performance issues caused by it, however, we also have feature requests opened for it:

Threaded Comments - JIRA Cloud

Threaded Comments - JIRA Server

That being said, there's a third-party app that give you the ability to add threaded comments to JIRA (Threaded Comments for Jira), unfortunately, it is only available for Server at this moment. I believe you had that app in the server instance you were testing.

Please, vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority for JIRA Cloud and also receive notifications about any updates.

Let me know if you have any questions about it.
