How can I add a new project role in Jira?

I have already few project roles like Administrators, Developers and Users. I would like to add a new project role named 'Sample Role'.

How can I add that new project role in Jira?

If u have admin permission u can go to setting at the top right of ur jira page. and then click on setting and then go as below:
