Hello,
I am in the process of replacing groups in my Jira instance because of the merger of Jira software and Jira work management. Well, I wanted to change the name of a group first from jira-work-management to jira-standard users. But when I try to change the name of the the jira-work-management group I receive a scary message in Jira cloud saying that changing group name is on Beta only. So I decided to create a new group. Then I copied all the users to my jira group but the migration via API has not migrated the non-human users (they are Atlassian apps such as Azure DevoOps for Jira or Automation for Jira). So, it seems I have to add them manually. Is there a way to add the jira apps to the a new jira group? I can't see a way on "manage apps" to do this.
Thanks
Tony
Hi @tony_gonzalez ,
To add app access to a user group in your Jira instance, please follow the steps below:
Navigate to User Management > Groups.
Select the group to which you want to add the app.
Below the group details, you'll see an option to Add Product.
Click on Add Product, then select and assign the desired product to the group.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Geethanjali
Hello @Geethanjali Katagani ; sorry, I don't need a product such as Jira software or Confluence; i have already added Jira as a product to the new group; and when I try your steps none of those apps I am talking about appear on the products drop down. I am talking about Atlassian apps such as Status page for Jira or Azure Devops.
Many thanks

Hi @tony_gonzalez ,
You cannot assign Statuspage access to a group the same way you assign Jira access.
Statuspage is a standalone product, and users are managed separately in the Statuspage admin console at manage.statuspage.io.
Please refer to the document below to learn how to add groups to Statuspage:
Manage audience-specific groups and users

Thanks @Geethanjali Katagani , that's a very good answer; it is not straight forward to do these changes in Jira.
