How can I NOT get frustrated using JIRA Portfolio?

Would JIRA design such a useful concept like Roadmapping... and execute it in a way (Portfolio) that is 1000% not intuitive? 

Ive wasted so much time trying to search for answers on how to get it all setup in a way that quite frankly given all the features/epics, accompanying stories, et. al. are ALREADY in sprints on our board. Not to mention our KANBAN board being all setup.

an 1hr, + of literally trying to science the Sh*T out of figuring out what the JIRA DEVs were thinking to get this setup so I can see all my information. 

TEAM JIRA... this problem is easily fixable. 

INCLUDE your customers in your designs!

They will tell you in a heartbeat when you are off on you execution.

Hey Mike,

Atlassian is always looking for feedback from customers to improve features and build out the application in ways that are most beneficial for everyone.  Jira Portfolio specifically has been running a EAP program on the Server platform for the past year testing improvements to the application and collecting feedback from early adopters of the early access application to implement the feature suggestions from end users of the product. And we recently releases Portfolio 3.0 bringing the new experience out of beta based on the customer feedback provided to increase the experience for end users.

This particular feedback loop is now closed with the release of Jira Portfolio 3.0 on Jira server bringing it out of Beta, but whenever you have the ability to enable an early access feature the application has a built in feedback loop to provide direct feedback on that feature specifically unless it is disabled by an admin as covered here.

I would recommend checking out the new experience if your on the Jira Server platform, and new things are on the horizon for Cloud coming soon, with additional feedback loops available.

Any additional feedback that you have we would love to hear, and we can assist in generating new feature improvements based on the feedback or provide clarification on the features and functionality that are causing hangups per the Implementation of New Features Policy.  Just let me Know what platform you are on and what bottle necks you're encountering, in addition to where you feel the application is lacking functionality around the bottlenecks for your particular use case.
