How block transition with child issues open?

I require a condition that can block the transitrion in the workflow when the child issues are open. The default condition that Jira has doesn´t work.

Hello @Angel ,

It can be achieved by using Sub-Task blocking Condition.

Specific to Sub-Task only: In that specific Transition add a condition called "Sub-Task blocking Condition". Select all the status for which you want Parent ticket to move to Done Transition.

For any other Child Relation You can use Automation for Jira and a field and then add Conditions based on the field value, 

There can be an automation to update the field if all its child tickets are closed and then you can use the same field to update Condition.

The default condition works in case of Standard Issue (Story/Task) and subtasks.

It is not working in case of Epic -> Standard Issue

There is no other native solution in JIRA (using automation to transition back the status is a complex process). If you need this to work for Epic -> Story then you will need to use say scriptrunner or some market place app.
