I'm wondering how the clustered issues on the control chart are chosen and grouped? What is the criteria or logic behind the grouping? What makes certain issues more prone to be grouped than others. I've searched multiple forums and have been unable to find an answer.
Hi @Jordan Pearson , welcome to the community.
have you seen this article? I think it does a good job of explaining the chart.
Hi Jack! I have seen this article and it is very helpful but maybe I’m missing the section where it explains why the issues are clustered the way they are?
For reference, the section that I’m zeroing in on is “what do the dots on the chart represent”
This explains the meaning behind where the issues are plotted in the chart but not why some are clustered. I have been successful in reducing the timeframe which removes the clusters as it zeroes in on issues, but this doesn’t help for a month long snapshot.
Are you able to point me to a different section in the article. It might be staring right at me and I keep missing it.
Thank you for your help!
