How Do I Reopen a "Done" Issue in a Nextgen Project?

Ben Clark July 3, 2020

Someone on my project set an Issue's status to "done" and I can't figure out how to undo this. Can anyone help?

The Issue (not Epic) was marked "done" outside of a workflow, so changing the issue's column doesn't seem to help. Meanwhile, because it's "done" I can't add it to the current Sprint to rectify the issue. I'm stuck!

After struggling with this for almost an entire working day, I discovered this solution:

  1. Open up our Sprint Board,
  2. Re-arrange the columns (just scramble them around a while),
  3. Re-order them back to their original order,
  4. Then, and only then, does changing the Issue's status actually remove the "done" flag (so that the Issue can be found in our Sprint or Backlog view again).

Pretty weird little hack...

Hi @Ben Clark

Once you've found the ticket (status in (Done) and resolutiondate >-2d ORDER by updated DESC), if you edit the issue you should be able to change the status:

Please let me know if this is not working, and I can take a closer look. Thanks.

Hey Carlos, I tried this numerous times - no luck!

Eventually a coworker discovered that we had to re-order our Sprint Board columns, and then rearrange them back to their original order, and only then did this solution work.

Thanks for attempting to assist, though!
