Hi,

we are running Jira in version 7.3.5. Now many departments want to use new plugins in the System. But usually if we install a new Plugi its available vor each user in the System via the TopNavBar in Jira.

So how we can hide or show some menüitems for defined groups?

Like Zephyre... in the Plugin Config you can define a userGroup with permissions to use it. User in this groub get the menue Button displayed.

We know, if we only hide/hide a menue Button for Groups, the User in this group has still the permission to use the corresponding Plugin.

It depends entirely on the add-on to implement that.  JIRA has to work on the assumption that an add-on is available to everyone, unless the add-on code tells it otherwise.

Most add-ons do not need to do it, so they don't.

So the short answe is "no".
