Hide Fix version drop down values based on a condition

Rao Tripuraneni

Hello Guru's- i am trying to see if this is possible to Hide fix version Field values that are pulled from Releases in JIRA cloud based on a condition on the Release record.

so for example if i have a Release called 'A' and that has a description of 'Yes' then i want to hide it from the user to be able to select on an Issue.

i know this probably cannot be achieved using Out of the box configuration so Script Runner Alternative is also acceptable.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Rao Tripuraneni

If you are asking about the built-in Fix Version or Affects Versions fields, I suspect the answer is: no.  Those fields show all versions which are not archived, and I am not aware of other ways to impact the values shown.

Kind regards,
Bill

yes, I am asking about built in Fix Version field.

so i wont be able to alter the behavior of that field by reading Release record for a specific value?

Thanks,

Rao

No, I do not believe that is possible with Jira Cloud.

Only archiving a version / release removes it from the dropdown lists, JQL suggestions, etc.
